Getting there and getting in
What's the best way to get to Boom Bap?
There are lots of ways - check out our Travel page
for more information.
What are the gate opening times during the weekend?
The festival gates will open at 10am on Friday 29th July. The gates will open daily at 10am and close at 8pm sharp for the public and 10am - 7pm for artists and crew. On Sunday the public gate closes at 3pm and the artist gate closes at 5pm. You will not be able to gain access to the festival outside of those times
; this includes artists, so make sure you set off early to avoid getting locked out!
Can I re-enter the site once I've gotten in?
Unfortunately, we aren't able to allow people back onto the festival site once they've left unless it's an absolutely emergency, so please do plan around this. However, we've worked really hard to make sure you'll have everything you need on site for the weekend, including affordable booze and food.
What time do we have to leave the festival site by on Monday?
The festival site must be vacated by 12pm on Monday afternoon.
What facilities are available on site?
The festival arena has a host of hot and cold food stalls, several bars and a corner shop selling essentials, as well as a first aid centre and medics on site.
The (non-VIP) campsite features water points and port-a-loos, and our private VIP campsite benefits from 'proper' toilet blocks and hot showers.
Is Boom Bap Wheelchair friendly?
Yep! The festival site is relatively flat and we have wheelchair accessible port-a-loos on site, so there shouldn’t be a problem. Please drop us an email if you're concerned about other accessibility issues.
Will there be cash points on site and do they charge?
There will be a cash point on site at our convenience store, but the charge will be subject to the vendor's discretion. If you would like to avoid a charge, please ensure you bring enough money with you when you join us on Friday night.

What happens when I enter the festival if i'm driving?
Standard & VIP ticket holders will be guided into the main car park and then enter the site through the main entry point next to the car park. If your a VIP ticket holder please have your printed ticket ready to display to the parking attendants as you enter the site to ensure your parking is free.
Food and Drink
How much alcohol and food can I bring onto the site with me?
You are able to bring a maximum of 8 cans of 440ml beer/cider or
a 3.5L box of wine onto the site. Boom Bap is an independently run festival with no sponsors or corporate investors, so our bar takings help keep us alive. This said, we want our attendees to have an excellent time at the festival and make every effort to keep our prices very reasonable. There is no limit on food.
What's the food like at the festival? Do you have veggie options?
We take food pretty seriously at Boom Bap. Gone are the days of having to wash down a soggy, under-cooked burger with a flat can of Stella. This year, we'll have our friends Rustic Oven
bringing that stone-baked pizza goodness, a host of stalls serving tasty vegetarian and vegan food, and a reasonable amount of deep-fried everything on offer as well.
I haven't received my e-ticket, what shall I do?
Our tickets are sold via our partner TicketScript, and they have an easy method of re-sending tickets over on their website.
Please contact them about any additional queries regarding your e-tickets.
What does a VIP ticket get you?
VIP ticket-holders have access to private VIP toilets, hot showers, free parking & fast track entry. They also stay in a separate camp site, located much closer to the action. The festival will be open from Friday to VIP ticket holders this year.
Can I apply to trade at Boom Bap?
Yes! You can apply to trade at Boom Bap by emailing: email@example.com
. Please don't panic if we don't get back to you immediately - we are a very small team with lots to do, so appreciate your patience.
I'm a graffiti artist and would like to come and paint at the festival. How do I get involved?
Unless you’ve been invited to paint at the festival on designated walls, spray paint and tag pens are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated if found. By tagging our rented equipment and tents, you will cause us thousands
of pounds of damage and threaten the festival's future - so please don't do it.
I'm a journalist/photographer and want to cover the festival. Who do I contact?
If you are interested in covering the festival, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
for further details.
Can I work for the festival?
Absolutely. If you would like to volunteer for this year’s festival, please drop an email to email@example.com
with the subject line 'Volunteering'. We need to know your full name, age, and whether you have any previous experience volunteering at festivals. We will take a deposit from each volunteer to cover your entrance, which will be returned shortly after the festival upon completion of your designated shift.
I want to play the festival this year. How do I get on the bill?
Sorry - the application process for this year’s festival has now closed.
What's your policy on drugs?

What else is prohibited on the site?
Strictly no open fires, bbq's, flares, fireworks and gas stoves, no glass, no animals, no weapons, no illegal substances, no graffiti pens, spray cans or aerosols.
